Application of international cutting-edge research in the field of machine learning and the promotion of young scientists and technology transfer. The aim is to develop ML algorithms that minimise uncertainty and increase user confidence in the system being used.
In addition to TU Dortmund University and the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML), other leading scientific institutions for machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) are involved in ML2R. The research profile includes trustworthy, hybrid and resource-aware machine learning and machine learning on quantum computers.
The ML2R focuses on open access to knowledge and data and thus promotes technology transfer in industry and society. This year, a Virtual ML Showroom will be established, an online platform that will make resources related to ML available free of charge. Interactive, hands-on ML demonstrators, algorithms, codes, ML models and vivid explanations make AI technologies tangible.
